In June 2023, Prime Minister Narendra Modi made an official visit to the United States, traveling from India to Washington D.C. to meet with President Biden and other esteemed leaders. Throughout their visit, both leaders delivered several captivating speeches, attended numerous important events, and engaged in influential discussions with Democrats and other leaders from across the country.

Prime Minister Modi arrived in the US on June 20th, 2023. He was welcomed by President Biden with several other associates. He shook hands with many leaders including Jill Biden ( First Lady) and Kamala Harris ( Vice President ).

Modi seemed to be thrilled as he arrived at the White House. He was greeted warmly by President Biden, Kamala Harris, and a crowd of enthusiastic guests. A great marching band with a 21-gun salute was waiting for him on the White House South Lawn, which undoubtedly added to his excitement. From what I researched, the Prime Minister was smiling from ear to ear!

The state dinner was hosted on a Thursday night for 400 VIP guests. It was one of the main highlights of Modi’s visit to Washington. I was incredibly surprised to find out that for the first time in recent history, the White House was hosting a dinner that was completely plant-based. This meant that there was no meat, no dairy, and no eggs served. This was because the Prime Minister is strictly vegetarian. Overall, the evening was amazing, and everyone, including the main focus, PM Modi, had a splendid time.

During his latest speech, PM Modi states that “Democracy is our spirit,” and “Democracy runs in our veins. We live in a democracy and our ancestors have put words to this concept.” He states that India has “proved that democracies can deliver and when I say deliver, this is regardless of class, creed, or religion. Based on what I read, it says that PM Modi emphasized his country’s development and what he describes as commonalities.

So, in conclusion, Prime Minister Modi’s official visit to the United States was a huge success. He was warmly welcomed, greeted, celebrated, and presented with many challenging and beneficial opportunities. Based on my research, it appears that the Prime Minister had a wonderful experience during his time in the US. This visit has been important in strengthening the relationship between India and the United States. Based on my research, I can tell the Prime Minister had a wonderful experience in the USA. He is now headed for Cairo for yet another successful visit.
